Insurance Compaines Are Thieves

Insurance Companies are simply wrong. I mean lets face it we give them money every month for what? Its the law I've been told.

Why is it the law? I'm guessing its to protect you and I from damage from others and to insure there is a mechanism in place to cover damage. Ok I can by that, but there are many things that really annoy the crap out of me and of course now you have watch me rant about it.

Ok, being the good boy I am I have full coverage on my vehicles. Why? Its to insure that if I get in an accident with somebody my vehicle and theirs is covered and repaired to within the value of the vehicle.

On the other hand I could have just basic coverage so if I was to get in an accident and it was my fault it covers the other persons car, truck or bike.

Now we are going to go with the full coverage plan. I'm driving down the street and I'm hit by another person and my car is so damaged that I could be in the realm of 5,000 in damage. Now the way it should work is I contact my Insurance Company and they in turn contact the Insurance company of the person that hit me. Police arrive and statements are taken. Both vehicles are towed away and my lovely wife picks me up and we visit a Rent-A-Car place and its completely covered by the other persons Insurance Company. I get a few quotes and my vehicle is repaired in less than 2 weeks. Some phone calls are exchanged and myself and the other driver are taken care of and we never have to deal with each other again.

What actually happens in that above situation.

Now we are going to go with the full coverage plan. I'm driving down the street and I'm hit by another person and my car is so damaged that I could be in the realm of 5,000 in damage. I contact my Insurance Company who in turn puts me on hold for 20 minutes and then give me the number of a tow truck company and make me do all the calling around looking for a company that works with my Insurance Company. Police never arrive or they just give me a statement to fill out and mail in. Both vehicles are towed away and you then have to make arrangements to get a rental car which of course takes forever and of course there is an argument over who's really paying for it. You again call all around town trying to find an authorized repair facility that your Insurance Company will work with. Some phone calls are exchanged with the other driver and his Insurance Company because your Company feels its to much work to be involved.

Don't even get me started over paying a monthly bill. Ok, I'm going to get started because honestly I think the Insurance Company racket is the worst thing since the induction of the IRS. Ok, I pay $250 a month for Full Coverage Insurance on 2 vehicles and Liability on a 3rd, however I used to carry full coverage on all 3. Every year or so I'd notice that my insurance would creep up 30 or 40bucks every 6months. Of course I'd notice and pick up the phone and give them a call to see what was going on. Well sir repair parts for your 93VW are getting harder to find so we have to charge a little more because of the premium to find them in case of an accident. "SO YOUR CHARGING ME NOW FOR LATER"?!?!?! Ok, I'm calm and I understand. In the distant future I get in a car accident and then you tell me my car is only worth $1500 because of Blue Book? So what happened to all that money in finding the parts because they are harder to find premium?

We all pay X per month for years and years with out an accident and then when we do we have to pay a detectable of 250 or more depending on what you where able to haggle them down to.
10 years = 120 months
120 x 250 = 30,000

So now if I get this straight I get in a car accident and pretending I had full coverage on my 93VW they are going to offer me $1500-$500 deductable= $1000 when I've given them $30,000? Tell me Insurance Companies are not ran by the Government. What kind of Nonsense is this. I'm better off taking a chance and not paying anything at all and when I do get in trouble paying the fine. I know I wouldn't get away cheap, but who's robbing who here.
