All through my childhood it was hammered into me when I did the boy scouts thing. "You should always be prepared" OK, but how are you prepared for everything? Unless I'm mistaken, but you can't possible tell the future and you can't obviously carry everything for every situation. Why am I rambling about this? Well I have friends that often don't just go for it because they are so paranoid that they just can't make the leap because they are not physically or mentally prepared for it. So what happens to them? They never do anything because they are to wrapped up in the planning of it all.
I'll use my Jeeping experience as an example just to well give you an example. Here is a load out of parts, tools and general odds and ends for a weeks worth of playing in Moab.

With all that gear you'd think he was going away for a while, however Moab being a HUGE area it has a reputation for breaking things that some will consider unbreakable. You just don't know so some will pack you name it, however when is enough enough?
Now this past weekend I was with a buddy and we had a blast playing on some Jeep trails and at the end of the day we went our separate ways. I get a phone call and I was told "you are not going to believe this. I lost my wheel and hit a under cover cop". Was there anything he could of done to prepare for that event? Sure he could of double checked things maybe. Then again maybe it was going to happen no matter what and he just got lucky he only had to replace a rotor. I think the tally was under $100 to fix it.My point to all this rambling is I guess kinda confusing. Hahaha, hell even I lost my original train of thought. Oh, You can prepare for the worst and guess what the worst can happen, but then its to late or you can do your best and stop worrying about every freaking thing in your life because your never going to do or try anything.
For those of you that live behind 10 firewalls, read every recall list and subscribe to every medical alert, wear rubber gloves and medical masks get the hell outside and just try it. Trust me I don't care how much you over prepare something will eventually go wrong because it just does. NOW, since I said my peace stop harping on me about being prepared because I'm tired of hearing about it. Oh did I mention we all will die someday in our life? That's the way it simply works.
