Going Green

Ok, I'm doing my thing and I get approached by a co-worker and he tells me that I should consider going green. So of course the first thing that comes to mind is the environment, the air, water and all that Al Gore stuff. Ok, so how do I do my part?

Sure maybe we should all think a little more about how we can protect the environment and keep the earth from dieing. I start looking into electric scooters that use wall power instead of a gas engine. I start looking into solar panels on my roof so I can capture sun rays and either store or put it back on the grid. I started looking thinking about recycling paper, glass, plastics. I came to one conclusion. Holly Crap, all that stuff costs tons of green.

I started looking into this person who told me I should go green.

1. Drives a smart car and literally lives across the street from work.
2. Doesn't recycle he visits the same dump I visit.

Why is it some people who do one thing all of the sudden are high and mighty and have to tell me how to better my life when they are no better than I am?

Wandering why there is a picture of a PC Hardrive up above? Well thats from Western Digital called a green drive. http://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.asp?driveid=607 I have a pair of those in a PC at home so yes I'm doing my part Jackass and what are you doing to lower your electricity bill? Last I looked you had 3 pumps on your pool to clean your water when maybe actually getting a net and putting forth some effort might actually get it clean.

I know this is a little off the subject, but I was in Seattle a few weeks back and what do I see? A guy drive by in a Prius throwing his McDonald's bag out the window. I guess he must of figured it was biodegradable and would return to the earth on its own?
